Since 2020, hearing aid company ReSound has partnered with audiologists and hearing care providers nationwide to donate hearing aids and hearing services to well over 1000 individuals in need of corrective hearing devices. The program, called the “Gift of Hearing” campaign, encourages local hearing care professionals to donate hearing care and hundreds of ReSound hearing aids annually to people with financial hardship that are also experiencing hearing loss.
Prescription Hearing Gift of Hearing Program Winner

Prescription Hearing, a participant in the Gift of Hearing program, selected Illinois native Arlene Bartkowiak to receive a free set of premium Resound Hearing Aids along with hearing aid fitting and followup services free of charge for 2025’s Gift of Hearing Campaign.
“I was absolutely shocked when [they] reached out to inform me that Prescription Hearing at Orland Hearing Center was going to donate my hearing aids as a gift,” Bartkowiak said in a letter to Prescription Hearing. “Perhaps the good things you try to do in this world do return to you in some capacity. I couldn’t believe a company would be so kind and compassionate.”
While the 2025 Gift of Hearing campaign has ended, if you know someone in need of hearing care or hearing aids but are not currently in a position to afford them, consider nominating that person for next year’s campaign. You can partner with Prescription Hearing to help change a life by giving the Gift of Hearing, and make life sound better, together.
